Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian German film and TV actress best known for her performances in films such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu. Alexandra began her showbiz career from a young age. She was a lead actress in television dramas as early at the age of 16. Her fame was due to her role of Der Tunnel. This paved the way to other memorable parts, such as Adolf Hitler's Secretariat Traudl Junge. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated movies featuring this actress.
